I Am Sober is more than just a free sobriety counter app.

Along with tracking your sober days, it helps you build new habits and provides ongoing motivation by connecting you to a wide network of people all striving for the same goal: staying sober one day at a time.

Through our growing sober community you can learn from others and contribute by sharing insights and tactics that have worked for you.

**The I Am Sober app features:**

• Sober day tracker
To visualize how long you’ve been sober.

• Remember why you quit
Add reasons and photos to help you remember why you want to quit your addiction and stay sober.

• Daily pledge tracker
Take a pledge every day. Sobriety is a 24-hour struggle, so start your day off by making a pledge to stay sober. Then you can review how your day went and log notes at the end of the day.

• Sobriety calculator
View how much money & time you’ve saved by being sober.

• Analyze triggers
Recap each day and find patterns that made your day easier or more challenging than the last.

• Share your story
Either with others or for yourself, take photos and journal your progress directly in the app. Then choose to share it or save it as a reminder for yourself.

• Milestone tracker
Track and celebrate your milestones from 1 day, to 1 week, to 1 month and beyond. Compare experiences with others on their sober journey. Read how they felt at this milestone and what you can expect. If you’re struggling, share your story and invite others to offer help or advice.

• Withdrawal timeline
When you create an account and declare your addiction, you can instantly see a withdrawal timeline to get an idea of what to expect for your next few days (and weeks). What’s more, you can contribute to it. See how many others saw an increase in their restfulness vs those that saw an increase in anxiety. Prepare yourself for what’s to come in recovery.

• Customize your experience
You set the time, your sober birthday, the category of motivation you need, the addictions you’re trying to break, even the end-of-day summaries. Make the app customized to your lifestyle and tailored to your needs.

**Sober Plus subscriptions**

I Am Sober is free to use, but you can support development of the app with a subscription to Sober Plus. With Sober Plus, youll get access to these premium features:

• Create a group
Stay accountable together and track your sobriety privately. Groups are great for complimenting your real-world group like Alcoholics Anonymous, NA, SA, SMART Recovery, or your rehab center.

• Locked access
Keep your trackers private with a lock that you can access via TouchID or FaceID.

• Data Backups
Save your progress in the cloud and restore your trackers if you get a new device.

• More tracking
Track more addictions and get access to more communities. Even if your addiction is specific like Wine, Online Shopping, or Skin Picking, you’ll find a variety of communities of people who are all trying to get sober from alcohol, drugs, eating disorders, self-harm, and more.

Payment will be charged to iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase. I Am Sober Plus automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period, and the cost of the renewal will be identified. Subscriptions may be managed by the user and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to the users Account Settings after purchase. Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription to that publication, where applicable.

Pros and cons of I Am Sober app for iPhone and iPad

I Am Sober app good for

This app along with counselling and the Recovery Elevator podcast helped me finally get sober.
Guys Ive used this app forever. Thanks so much for finally updating! I wish there were six stars to give.
The main screen is much better. I like the focus on length of sobriety while being able to see days to next milestone. The savings thing still doesnt interest me. It would be great to be able to customize the main screen and select which tiles are wanted. I still dont get trying to make the app "social". That seems to contradict the whole anonymous aspect of AA et al. But I could just be a curmudgeon. With all that I do like the app as my sobriety calendar. Four stars.
The new update is awesome and the daily motivation keep me focused on my sobriety. To stay so sober, you really need to take it one day at a time and this app is a perfect solution! Thank you so much!!!! My life is so much better
Love this app specially with the daily quotes of motivation!!
I like this app. Im tracking my sobriety for something other than alcohol so it is nice that it is so simply. Adapts to everything. The only improvement for me would be to display the number of days on the icon directly.

Some bad moments

Its not exactly accurate. I got sober before I got pregnant, and it says Ive been sober for 7 months and Im almost 36 weeks pregnant. But its a cute app.
Apps notifications dont work. Tried to contact support but no communication options are provided.
Main reason I bought this app, was to wake up every morning and have a notification on my device which I constantly go on throughout everyday. Unfortunately one of their key selling points was for daily notifications, and that component does not work. Huge let down and I hope they fix this promptly or my money would feel like a waste.
My fault for buying the app before checking the reviews, but this app hasnt been updated in 2 years and is not optimized for newer devices. Disappointing, considering this is a paid app, youd think the developers would work to keep up!
Too many changes in directions Im not interested in. The graphics are now rather boring. They remind me of an Easter greeting card. The previous graphics were great, a la "Monument Valley ". The emphasis on cost savings has nothing to do with my addiction. It would be nice if I could continue to ignore it. Otherwise its really intrusive. The list "drugs of choice" doesnt pertain to my addiction. Also, the wording isnt focused on recovery. Thats the whole point of the app - to recognize how long Ive been in recovery. Or at least thats why I loaded it. I want to see how far Ive come to help me see I can continue for today. One day at a time. I have no clue what the "clubs" are for. Im in a fellowship - an Anonymous fellowship. I have no interest to post myself as having an addiction. Kinda defeats the purpose of the whole anonymous thing. I liked in the previous version being able to see my length of sobriety and time to my next milestone on the same page. Now I have to leave the counter page (which is the closest to what Im looking for) and go to the (boring and ugly) main page to see days to next milestone. I suppose I can live with this version but Id prefer fixing some of the issues mentioned above. Lastly there are times I have to hope that someone might not see the app name. "I Am Sober" is my goal but I really dont want to advertise it. "I didnt know you were an alcoholic." Is not something I want to hear as someone glances at my phone. Perhaps "Recovery". I dont care just nothing so indicative of alcoholism or addiction.
Some things I wish they would improve are: in the money you have saved, I wish it didnt start over if you relapse, rather just deduct the day or two you messed up but Im in my first thirty days so I dont foresee this being a long term problem. Also maybe a forum or inspirational quotes other than "another day sober" lol just kind of a lot for 1.99$
